What exactly has DiBlasio done to lower crime rates? He is just in the right place at the right time and the trend is his friend in crime dropping.
But that as at the exact same time when murder dropped significantly across the U.S. DiBlasio is the only one who’s murder rates have dropped through a national uptick or stablization or murder rates.

Guns are NOT banned in the UK.

There have been problems in this area before due to an on going gang dispute between the Turkish and Kurdish Mafia. The Turkish Mafia control the heroin trade in to Europe. The Police and National Crime Agenct have carried out raids in the area before, and armed units will now be deployed in the area.

Sadly the formr Home Secretary and current Prime Minister and Theresa May and her idiotic Home Secretary Amber Rudd don't seem to realise that cutting over 20,000 police officers in England & Wales was not a very sensible thing to do, and police budgets are increasingly stretched. At the same time the UK gives £13 Billion of tax payers money in iverseas aid, which is more than the entire law and order budget, the entire Home Office budget being £8.9 Billion, whilst the Ministry of Justces budget is £6.6 Billion. The Government just doesn't seem to care about the people in this country which it's supposed to represent.

It's the same with the NHS and Social Care, which could be solved by either replacing National Insurance with a new tax or by a relatively small tax rise.

Welcome to Austerity Britain.

Sadly at the moment there is no credible alternative to the Tories other than Commie Clowns Corbyn and McDonnell, whilst Diane Abbot as Home Secretary would be the biggest disaster ever.

Relative to the US, and for all intents and purposes, guns are banned in the UK.

These gangs were not out hunting quail with shotguns.

You also have gentrification of once affordable or poor areas, many once multi family homes are being converted into single family homes which you see in Brooklyn’s slight population decrease in one year after consistently gaining over a decade.

New York City
I am not having a go at NYC which is a great city and which is now a relatively safe city, partly through tough police action and partly through gentrification.

London is also a relatively safe city, despite the recent stabbings and the occasional shooting.

Hopefully new legisation will help, as will more resources for the police and the adoption of the Violence Reduction program that was soi succesful in Glasgow and Scotland.

You have to understand , that here the "left", which make up the majority of anti gun people, think that highly restricting or banning firearms will solve all our violence issues.
Those of us that are pro firearm constantly try and explain, that with the 300 million firearms in circulation and the 8000-20,000 firearms related laws (I've seen both numbers and don't believe the higher one) we already have, adding more will not solve our violence problem. The violence in our country is a much larger and complex problem then just firearms. Simple solutions will not fix this.

And to prove the point, the fact that the UK has program after program to help take knives off the streets shows criminals will not stop.

I am not getting drawn in to a debate about US Gun Laws, as that's really up to Americans to decide for themselves.

In terms of knife crime there has been a lot of success in Scotland where the Violence Reduction Unit was set up, and the Metropolitan Police have been up to Scotland to examine how the knife crime reduction was acheived and are now setting up similar units in London.
