The odds of shoplifting were significantly higher in men than in women. Native Americans had higher odds than whites, although blacks, Hispanics, and Asian Americans had lower odds of shoplifting than non-Hispanic whites.
oops
Granted, it's only 1 report but it is eye opening.
"Shoplifting was significantly more common in individuals with at least some college education, among those with individual incomes over $35,000 and family incomes over $70,000, and among those living in the West, but less common among those with public insurance."
There is such an aggressive and RACIST narrative going on, blaming White Men for everything and making them the ENEMY and implying that they are better off than everyone else....
But most White Men are not in positions of power.
Most White Men are faceless employees in small companies, or blue-collar workers or unemployed or homeless.
Imagine how they feel when they are told they are America's Enemy....
Pure racism, and sexism.
So in other words, white men, who have been in charge of everything since forever, and who have done a great job of scapegoating and oppressing women and people of color since forever, suddenly find themselves in a changing world, where they are not automatically at the top of the pecking order by default simply by virtue of being white and male, and they don't like it.
Cry me a river.
Welcome to the world those of us who are not white men have been living in since forever.
Whining is not an attractive quality so suck it up. Life is not fair. Those are the things women and people of color have been hearing since forever. Time to take your own advice.
White men still control the vast majority of government and business. They're just having to share that power a little bit now and that pisses them off.
The fact that you joke about the terrible situation white males in eastern Kentucky and West Virginia is in just shows that many liberals have lost the plot when it comes to fighting for ordinary working class folks. Its a real shame, but corporate media that constantly push the white privilege narrative know what they are doing. What is sad is that many on the left buy into the narrative pushed by the corporate elites who refuse to address class, and instead emphasize everything else (which is not a threat to the elites who run America).
You do know that white privilege does address class -- you know that right?
Or maybe you don't?
And because I know how much easier it has been for me and my family being upper middle class white people in this world you ASSume I can't empathize with the working class.
My biggest concern...those big ole tax cuts for corporations will do absolutely nothing for those poor white men in Kentucky and West Virginia who have been sold a bunch of dreams and rainbows and unicorns.....

Who knew white men were such snowflakes.
You are attacking random people purely based on their skin color and portraying them as evil oppressors who need to be quiet because...some people with similar skin color was evil in the past. Thats pure racism. Most white males are just ordinary folks, not oppressors, not wicked, they were simply born white and male, just like the jews who are not extremely powerful either. They are, just like white males, just ordinary individuals.

Your narrative is your story in your head. Not all white males feel like they are the enemy.
They just don't -- that's some story you have created.

You have missed the point. Most women and most people of color are just ordinary folks, too, but they have been demonized and denied the privileges that white males have been afforded simply because they are white males. How about a little concern for them and the oppression they have had to live under instead of feeling bad for those who have enjoyed the privilege at their expense for so long?
There's so much whining now because they are being forced to share some of the benefits that they've always taken for granted. How very sad for them.

Calling a dirt poor member of the underclass a privileged person is an insult and everyone with some decency understand that. Not surprising that you are part of the upper middle class and laugh at the underclass in West Virginia because they are so "powerful" being white like yourself. Your highly divisive rhetoric is no different that telling everyone in America to be quiet because they are not a starving disabled kid in the third world.
