Agreed. Now can we hold the most powerful individual in the country (world?) accountable for his actions?

Do as you wish. Just leave me out of any collectivist scheme you may be plotting.

What I would say is when you start throwing the term racist around when it does not apply you weaken the power of the term racist.

How would Trump "empower" white supremacists, exactly?

Explain it to me as if you are a hypothetical white supremacist. What in the US has changed based solely on Trump that now empowers your philosophy either theoretically or practically?

It is dangerous to put labels on entire groups of people. However, I think many of Trumps followers are people that work with their hands, lower income, blue collar, etc. Having lived in he south my entire life, I am familiar with the tobacco chawin 'good old boys', that love their guns and distrust anyone that is not protestant and white. Again, I am not stereo typing all Trump followers but many fit the description and a fair percentage of them are flat out racist.

Trump has shown reluctance to call out racist groups for what they are and this has emboldened them. Because of this, racist groups have come out of the shadows and done more to spread their message of hate against non-whites more so than any time in recent memory.

Trump has essentially declared war on non-white immigration into the US. He is hell bent on a wall at the Mexican border and says zip about Canada. He calls out middle eastern and African countries and wants to stop their immigration into the US.

It is a pattern that fits all too well with white supremacy teachings.

So that is does not seem too blatant, the spin is 'about jobs', 'about terrorism', 'about crime'.... Essentially the message to Trumps followers is 'all these non-whites are taking your jobs, they are terrorists, and if we let them in the country they are going to kill you and rape your wives and children." And the Trump followers eat it up and spit it over like it is gospel from the Bible.

So are white supremacists empowered? Everyday he remains in office.
