He hired a few of them, so he literally did empower a few white supremacists.
His response to Charlottesville was pretty awful.
He's done some really racist things in the past, and many would argue that the policies he's enacted are racist in nature.

It's hard to believe that White supremacists wouldn't feel emboldened when the President of the US shares many of the sentiments that they do.

We've also seen plenty of footage of white supremacists saying that Trump has strengthened them.

So I'm going to go with: Yes.

Trump's response to Charlottesville had the effect of normalizing white supremacy.

For like the upteenth time!

White supremacy is a straw man. The FBI estimates there are about 5000 individuals associated with white supremacy groups (KKK, Nazis..etc.) in the entire country.

Consider there are 20k members of MS13 alone. There are 120k gang members in 350 gangs in Los Angeles county alone.

White supremacists killed 37 people last year. Gangs kill more than that every week.

Yet all we hear is how Trump is to blame for the rise in white supremacy. It's right up MSM's fake news modus operandi and completely hysterical. Let's all fixate on the minor to non existent problems while we ignore the real issues.

These aren't the droids you're looking for; move along!

I specifically used 'many would argue' for that part of my post because I'm not ready to make that claim myself.
When people make that argument, they're doing it about the border wall, and other immigration policies.

I think that white supremacists love those policies for white supremacist reasons, but there are plenty of non racist reasons to support immigration reform.

Trump hasn't done a great job of showing that his reasoning is anything but racist, but that might be for political reasons.

Yes, but a different breed though. The new white supremacists are “dreamers” of the old days, losers in reality.

Yea, that has nothing to do with the fact that the government refuses to label to label white supremacist groups, as white supremacist groups, or that white supremacist groups go out of their way to create new titles for themselves (the alt-right).

Don't know what gangs have to do with the discussion.
The only people who defend gangs are the people who defend white-supremacists, which is essentially a gang.
Most normal people think that gangs are bad, and something should be done about them.
