They have every right to be upset if there was a signed form declining permission to be photographed in any way.

The family says days went by and the video spread without the even knowing the video existed.

"When we did see it, it already had gone everywhere. Any place you look on the Internet my granddaughter is there," says Bryson-Robinson.

Members of the family say they even signed a form with the daycare prior to the video "declining permission" for her to be photographed in any way.

No question about it. What a silly complaint by the family. You should have seen me as a child when they would take me to see Santa at a store ! That child's reaction was mild, compared to what I did.

The family is entitled whatever it is that would make this not happen again at the school to any other child. Aside form the fact that the school stupidly assumed that a giant funny looking rabbit would not scare the **** out of some toddlers, the family specifically signed a form that states they did not want the child photographed. Just as clowns can appear creepy, even to many adults, this rabbit was equally so. A no brainer.

Would have won the parents the $100K prize on Funniest Home Videos.

Had they played it right.

Are they going to sue the news stations showing the video of the little girl's reaction, too?

Only a sociopath would find that video funny.

Only a sociopath would think nothing of scaring a baby and that is a fact. Own it.

You must not have ever met a 2 year old, have you?

At Easter brunch, my 2 year old niece had a similar reaction when the Easter bunny got close. Luckily, Auntie Charo was able to take her out of the room to make a big ice cream sundae and she was happy as a clam 5 minutes later. She was not the only toddler having a screaming meltdown at brunch when a large, costumed bunny that, frankly, creeps out a lot of the adults, entered the room. Totally developmentally normal.

The parents signed a document specifically denying the daycare the right to photograph or video their child. For an improperly taken video to be shared on the internet, especially of her in such a state, is wildly inappropriate and cause for action, IMO. Many parents do not want any images of their child on the internet and social media, and it is not up to a daycare worker to usurp that authority.
