The daycare didn't film this kid and post it to their site. This 2 year old child's caregivers did.

Not Ok.

Shame on the caregiver.

I highly doubt that the EB showing up to the daycare classrooms was a surprise for the parents.

Again, shame on the caregiver - but you get what you pay for.

Jimmy Kimmel made fun of her reaction...is the family going to sue him, too?

Jimmy Kimmel has proven to be an incredibly insensitive person who cares not for anything or anyone if he can get a laugh from other insensitive people in his audience out of it.

No issue with the bunny, or really even with the kid's reaction, that's not the problem. The issue is that some idiot at the day care put a video of someone else's child on their post on social media. The worker needs to be fired and the day care held responsible.

ETA, I stand corrected and admit I posted based on the OP rather than reading the whole thread:

II, where did you hear that?

The parents show a lack of judgement in selecting their caregiver. Sounds as if the parents are scammers trying to get some money from the day care-not to mention racists blaming others for their bad judgement and accusing THEM of racism.

I'm just astonished that the school would spring such a creepy thing on toddlers in the first place. There are little children that cry when the are brought to see Santa Clause. The world is rapidly becoming a very stupid place.

Not unusual for places to do this. Those parents are overreacting.

Really? Is this the first you've heard of kids freaking out at the Easter bunny or santa? Happens all the time, especially w/kids that age. Kids are weird.

Worked at Hershey Park and saw this reaction a lot of times. Same reaction by parents and family, too. Everybody but mom thinks it is hilarious. Big stuffed animals moving ,laughing, and poking at a kids is terrifying. How would YOU feel confronted by something, never seen before, five times your size?

I wonder how the Father feels about the incident.

The obvious course of action is to BAN the Easter Bunny.

People. People. People.

It's not how any of the family members feel.

It's not whether adults dressed as Easter bunnies should be scaring little kids.

It's not even the child's reaction.

It's that a video of this child was made and posted on the internet.

This is a violation of privacy.

This is a violation of the contract the family had with the daycare center to care for and protect their child.

I am not defending the daycare center.

However, they did not do anything illegal.
