I'm not surprised how well he is doing, he is from Queens baby. My Momma spent her formative years growing up in Queens. They are the same age actually. I don't agree with everything he says or does. I wish he would tone down the insults on twitter but, I can live with it as long as things keep moving forward.
In other words change - I want the 1950s back again and Trump is trying to do that.

Yep. Trump would be kicking tail and taking numbers right now if he knew how to keep his mouth shut. I think he likes to stir the pot. He plays chicken with the law. Bad move long term.

Ego. I think that sums it up. Trump loves to hear himself talk. He talks just to talk. If he says no comment he feels like he looks like he has something to hide. He is damned if he does, damned if he isn't I get why he does what he does. I don't agree with some of it. Trump is also universally stunned that he can do no right in the eyes of so many. He really doesn't get why the left turned on him the way that they did. He really thought that he would be looked at as a hero for taking down corrupt Hillary Clinton. Trump was a NY Democrat for most of his life. The Democratic party put their weight behind the Clintons because they were the power brokers. Just because Dems were supportive of them didn't mean they liked him, more specifically her. People stroked Trump's ego that he would be revered and accepted by Dems if he took her down. He did, and he wasn't. Even Cuomo turned on him. Trump and the Cuomo family were very close until 2015-16.

Yeah I’m sorry but as a fiscal conservative Trump and the GOP are utter failures- I can’t fathom how far off track they are from my core values.

I’m not even going to mention the ‘moral’ decay as well.

Hmm taxis are really profitable

So how exactly did this Ukrainian immigrant do so well in NYC that he could afford to lend $20mm to someone in Chicago?

There are five kinds of cheese on this nothing burger.
So Cohen has to take out a loan against his house but his FIL loaned $20 million to a taxi cab mogul.

Well, I wasn't alive in the 50's 60's or early 70's. I can't speak to that.

This is absolutely true. Many Trump voters who wanted change, my close relatives included, voted for Trump in hopes of a less dysfunctional DC. Even though we may disagree on ways to achieve greatness as a nation, we all agree that Trump’s administration has caused only more divisions and more dysfunction. The legal malaise surrounding Trump and the specter of criminality (Cohen specifically) that is always hovering around him have really disappointed many of them. My close relatives in Indiana, for example, officially went off the Trump train. They admitted they had hoped he would surround himself with decent people, and I respect that. Instead, they’ve been treated to months of humiliating poop show filled with crazy tweets, a revolving door of idiots and wife beaters, and shady characters who have complicated relationships with the law (I do believe that is my aunt’s nicest attempt at not calling them outright criminals).

Cohen is only the tip of the iceberg in the potentially criminal enterprise involving Trump. The SDNY investigation will be most interesting indeed.

But, I am NOT surprised any of this is happening with Cohen either.
You keep thinking that because we have been shown no "evidence" that it doesn't exist and won't be presented at trial or used to compel Cohen to make a plea agreement
And so far---yes--
We don't even KNOW the evidence that has been found about Manafort's money laundering, tax evasion that seems to be locked in stone accurate---a slam dunk for his guilt
But that doesn't mean it is a figment of my imagination or that of other people who believe it exists

If anyone has read the previous books about Trump he has always had a penchant for playing fast and loose with the criminal element
Face it--you don't built casino in Atlantic City or Vegas and not know people in crime families
You don't become an important builder in NYC if you don't do business buying off the unions (often crime infiltrated) and others who are criminal
It is a fact of life
He has just never been really prosecuted for his illegal acts
He always had enough pull with local law to get away with it
The last time was the case in 2012 that Don Jr and Ivanka were going to be implicated/charged in and one of Trump's people went to the NY city DA and miraculously it went away

Trump has been a crook all his adult life
That didn't change because he moved to the WH--
He didn't sell his business--it is still operating with same sleazy tactics by his sons
Ivaka has used N Korean slave labor out of China's factories to make her goods
She has stolen other designers copyright styles and been sued
She is not an innocent
And her husband surely is not either

Getting into bed with Donald Trump has killed the Republican Party--
I am as certain as rain is wet that there are sitting members of Congress who have been protective of DJT because they have been embroiled in something illegal he likely brought into the RNC--Russian money
And I point out again that while Michael Cohen might have stayed in NYC vs DC as he wanted to go
He was/is? Assistant national campaign finance chair...money moving is his job...

Robert Mercer has been suspected of being money washer for Putin through his most successful hedge fund which is being investigated
And Robert Mercer via Cambridge Analytica likely funded many in-kind campaign contributions by fraudulent billing--billing much below market pricing to give an in-kind contribution to those candidates

Check every GOP candidate in 2016 and 2014 and see how they were billed and cross check w/CA
I bet there is not one DNC candidate they worked for...

So, I guess everybody in Queens are doing just great these days. And how did Queens voted in 2016 by the way, I'm sure they all must have been just as excited as you about the hometown boy.

The fiscal house was off the rails before Trump got there. I'm not happy with the budget he signed but in order to fix what was broken and decaying, he had to give to get what was needed. If Trump isn true to his word and plays hard, HARD ball in the next budget all is forgiven.

In my opinion, you can't judge someone on their moral decay. Worry about your own morality. Whatever sins Trump has committed in the adultery department he will have to answer to a higher power when his time comes.
