sure will be hard for Pres Dotard to find time to govern with all the depositions and court time he will have to schedule.

The judge granted it because he was convinced that it WARRANTED a warrant...just that simple.

It’s a federal investigation. The US Attorney for the SDNY is overseeing the investigation, and AG Sessions is likely very much in the loop.

Keep in mind the fact that Cohen paid Stormy Daniels shortly before the election in likely violation of Federal Election Law.

Cohen has claimed that Trump knew nothing of this and he had not been reimbursed. There is a rumor floating around (remember the reporter's question on AF1 a few days ago) that Cohen has/had a slush fund to pay off Trumps paramours.

Floating around my pea-sized brain is why not go for his correspondence but then they may have to sort out communications subject to attorney-client privilege. [Subsequently CNN reports that communications were covered by the warrants and that there were several warrants.] Financial records are so much easier as they must be retained for IRS returns. Attorney client privilege does not apply.

Please, be specific. Very specific, ideally.

Maybe all this won't lead to Trump getting ousted from office, but clearly, shady shenanigans are going on around him, and he's the common denominator.
Trump has been a gangster for all of his adult life.

Well, this was unexpected.
Looks like Mueller was involved in some way.
Will update as more news becomes available.
This is the thread topic. Please remember that. If you do not have something to say regarding this post or other posts related to this topic, do not post here. It's really hard to have a real discussion when every other post is some nonsense snarky comment which brings nothing of substance to the conversation. Stay on topic people, that's all I ask.

So if criminal activity is uncovered while investigating something in scope, what would you have the investigators do? Ignore it?

I'm looking for an honest response, please.

The extent to which people are going to try and paint criminal behavior as nothing is astonishing. Especially considering they all claim to be conservatives.

A crime is a crime is a crime.

Yes, it is for a fact in Muellers directive to pursue all crimes he might see, even those not related to Russia.

Even if that wasn't in his directive, he'd still have to report them. Investigators can't pick and choose. They see wrong doing, they have to say something.
