I know ALL politicians lie, but even IF Donny T wasn't POTUS, it's a sad state of affairs when you have to prove someone is telling the truth as a default, over the assumption that they are ALWAYS lying.
For anyone paying attention, he has a long history of dishonesty, hell, he's known more for being a schyster than a reputable, ethical, do gooder, period.
Lying should NEVER be the default position, especially when in a position such as POTUS.
This is an attempt to normalize something that SHOULD NOT be normal. It's exhausting, but people can't get complacent about it.
Always. He dwells upon anything being remarked upon by others (that he causes himself), yet he is all about fakery. For instance:
A major combover
Deceptive Tax Return claims
An artificial marriage
Pretending to know things he doesn't.
Cheating others out of $$
Attempting to be a president
IQ and education claims
Raising kids to be superficial
Having been involved in questionable behavior, sexual attacks.
That he had written autobiographies.
Cheating with other women while married.
His Health assessments
Questionable relationship with foreign dignitary.
On and on...daily lying, as we know.
The notion that we can't call it a lie if we don't know Trump's intention is silly nonsense. Even using the exact reference the poster keeps referring to, it doesn't fly.
"1: a : an assertion of something known or believed by the speaker or writer to be untrue with intent to deceive He told a lie to avoid punishment.
b : an untrue or inaccurate statement that may or may not be believed true by the speaker or writer the lies we tell ourselves to feel better historical records containing numerous lies
2 : something that misleads or deceives. His show of remorse was a lie."
Fascinating the way these posts attempt to "mislead and deceive" about what a lie is when that is the very definition of a lie.
However, it's like the argument a teenager in North Carolina would make to explain how technically he didn't come in after curfew because if he lived in Seattle it would be midnight and not 3 am.
The teenager may believe this is a clever argument.

The adult not so much.
In other words: you still can't prove intent to deceive. And without that you don't have a 'lie.' There, I said in 2 sentences what took you a half page (and still didn't get to the truth).
assuming that trump's original intent was not a lie it becomes a lie by omission once he realizes the information is false and he does nothing to correct it.
No because the question of what day he arrived in Scotland two years ago is a triviality, and it would be a waste of POTUS time to fact check and correct it.
It's still unbelievable that this was someone's #1 example of a Trump 'lie,' and that liberals on this thread are still up in arms about it.
and causing small business to close and health insurance went through the roof, thanks a lot nobama.
Health insurance is going up now. What happened to "we are going to have better health care, cheaper health care & everybody will love it."
I didn't forget when Trump said that, did you?

when your claim is a prediction the fact that it happened AFTER the event is far from a triviality. i wish your theory were true, i'd love if bookmakers would allow me to bet on games after they happened but.... they don't share your view.

personally, i've enjoyed presidents that have fact-checked their info before speaking. but...... fortunately for trump he doesn't have to go thru the hassle, AP ( and anyone with an internet connection ) were nice enough to do it for him.

because it is.
