a person voluntarily enters into an agreement to exchange labor for dollars. How is that slavery?
Yeah, my slave wage dollars are sitting in a mutual fund right now generating more wage slave dollars and providing me with a comfortable retirement. Life is good. And Karl Marx has nothing to do with it. Shouldn't he be consigned to the dustbin of history already?
Chances are you might have bought it. Either way you have no intrinsic right to output that is not in use. The wood, metal, etc is shared resources from earth.
The only thing that is yours is your body and its abilities. Capitalism disregards these as input is controlled and redistributed by the capitalists controllers.
You know, I'm starting to warm to this whole Marxist thing. I mean, all I have to do is wait until somebody leaves their dwelling for any reason, and I can just go in and and take their stuff. I mean, it's not "in use" technically, right? I'd leave the wood and metal.
That's a lot different to controlling your body and abilities though. If your think your great grandpa selling the farm, limits your ability to improve your lot today, then you're just brainwashed. Trying to blame JP Morgan for someone's addiction today is a bit of a stretch as well.
Capitalism isn't just about big corporates either.
Materials aren’t freedom, the ability and opportunity to produce what you want is. Either the government or the private industry controls the MoP, you work for them or you starve.
....and much more, like the house the car, the boat, saving for retirement, the overseas holidays.
Material reward is not freedom, the ability to produce what you want when you want is.
