The point is the media is using images of children crying, but they were taken by their own parents from their homes, they are probably hungry and haven't slept, of course they are crying. At least they can sleep and get food at the center. This is nothing compared to what their parents have put them through.
Unbelievable.
Check it out. Kids are crying because they are being separated from their parents.
Yes, I'm sure they are tired and hungry. But they are being forcibly taken from their parents. But that's not why they're crying?

And what happens to children who are American citizens when their parents go to prison?
Foster care (or imprisonment as you call it)
Have you ever been involved with the foster care system?
I have and I assure you that the system does not remove children and place them in warehouses leaving them to sleep on concrete floors.
It's odd that people keep using this argument considering how poorly the foster care system is regarded in this country.
Tens of thousands of children languish in foster care every year, many of them available for adoption, but the argument against adopting them is how damaged they often are as a result of being separated from their parents and from being shifted from foster home to foster home.
I'm Christian by culture, not by practice, so I don't know which one I should vote for. But no matter what group I'd be put in, separating children from parents at the border is abhorrent, the most deplorable thing this administration has done yet.
Do you feel the same about separating US citizens from US citizen children when they are arrested and jailed for a crime? What about when DCS removes children from the home, divorced fathers who don't get to see their children?
First of all, that is an 8 year old opinion paper. We all know (we do, don't we?) that migration back to Mexico exceeds that coming from Mexico during that time period. That alone makes the paper inaccurate.
But worse, it is filled with the conditional "we estimate" again and again when discussing any figures. Even though, it focuses strictly on a fiscal basis, not an overall economic one. As example, it doesn't even discuss the issue of impact on GDP. Lastly, it's endnotes are not true citations in the sense anyone who has been involved with reports would recognize. Some of them are, many of them are not.
So, vastly out of date, their own estimates in many cases, and giving only a partial picture.

That's the point, it's an additional wrong when there are two and a great discrepancy in the way they're punished. Jail time for those hiring illegals should be mandatory, fines merely get written off as the cost of doing business. Those who come here to make $$$ to send home will quickly stop coming here if there's no $$$ to be made.

just because there is money to be made here doesn't make it acceptable to come here illegally. there is money to be made as a drug dealer too, but that doesn't make it acceptable.
Doesn't have to say "Separate Children" The Bible extols you to obey the law of the land. Regardless if you like it or not.....
Yes, and that's what Sessions and Sanders were referencing, obeying the law of the land which is that it is illegal and a criminal to enter the country illegally and the government has the right to deal with law breakers accordingly. If you disobey the law you pay the consequences, so don't disobey the law.
Sessions and Sanders did not use the bible to uphold separating children from parents at the border.
