I'm Christian by culture, not by practice, so I don't know which one I should vote for. But no matter what group I'd be put in, separating children from parents at the border is abhorrent, the most deplorable thing this administration has done yet.

Some people....
Police used to earn the respect of the citizens they serve. Now, in many jurisdictions and services (like ICE) they have stepped so far from the concepts that Robert Peel laid down, that he would not recognize them as police forces anymore.

And if you don't know who Robert Peel is, go look it up.

A true Christian would ask what would Jesus do?

You know in your heart that this policy is wrong.

Please disregard my vote, I clicked the wrong option. It should be Christian, do not support it.

Yes, I'm an atheist, but culturally somewhat Christian. So went for 'not a Christian'.

I thought adding an 'other' box would have been a cop out for a lot of people for not really answering at all.

They are traumatized by what their parents did to them and confused. When they get their bellies full and have a good sleep they will be fine. They will probably want to stay where they are safe and fed compared to their parents dragging them through the desert among MS13 bodies and sex trafficking thugs.

I'm just asking a question, using facts as presented.
You.
They are not using the bible to support separating children from their parents at the border as a deterrent. They are using it to support upholding the law.

Romans 13: Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

Nothing in there about supporting separating children from their parents at the border as a deterrent. Fact.

Using the bible to support separating children from their parents at the border as a deterrent.
Lie.

You are twisting fact to support your won agenda.

Jesus would certainly support this civil policy. When Ceasar issued the census decree, Mary and Joseph went to Bethlehem.

“Give to Caesar what is Ceasar’s, give to God what is God’s”.

Then you agree with the Bible...
It's not just about Taxes either!

Matthew 22:21 Jesus said "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's; and to God the things that are God's."
Romans 13:1 "Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and those which exist are established by God."
