While it is true you should obey a cop's commands and have your day in court it is also true that cops should use de-escalation tactics when possible.

Nope. Typical cops are always correct bovine scatterings.

She is a resisting idiot. A few days in the pokey and a year of weekends feeding homeless is called for.
He appears to be a psycho bully. Being a cop is not an excuse. That being said I would like to have seen the 2 minutes before the video starts.

I do not believe that. It sounds most logical to get it straightened out on the spot instead of being arrested and waiting until court.

We really need to be teaching our kids their rights when it comes to interacting with police, when they must obey and when they do not have to , and yes there are times when police ask for stuff or try to intimidate a person to giving consent, like to search their car, they use their detailed knowledge of their rights, as cops, to gain permission, why should civilians not do the same?

This does not mean they must give up any rights. In the cases I have seen videoed it is mainly people resisting legitimate demands. In some cases it involves resisting arrest. Even if you feel the arrest is without warrant you are best to comply, resisting will do you no good and could be harmful, potentially fatal. Have your day in court.
