Hilary lost because of a system that means every vote isn't equal.
Regardless of your skewed view of the rules, every single human involved with the election prep and the fight new exactly what the rules were. One side just did better at playing within the rules. Change the rules and what makes you think the winning side wouldn't have still figured out how to win?
Yeah those votes from dead people, cartoon characters and illegals shouldn't be equal to a legal voter's. I'm glad you're catching on.
I don't think all the extra votes that Hillary got, can be put down to that - the system is specifically intended that all votes aren't equal, if I'm reading it right.
That's not my point though. My point is that claims that Hillary lost because of reason A, or Reason B, ignore the simple fact, that more votes doesn't mean victory.

No issue with that -my issue is when people claim that Hillary lost because of such and such a reason.
When votes aren't intended to be equal, outcomes don't necessarily reflect popular opinion.

The unemployment rate is really 40%, BigCityDreamer. Dont try to deny it.
No, that's the unemployed rate. Those people don't want to work. I'm retired, so I'm one of those people.
The unemployment rate is different, and I wish nothing but the absolute best of luck to every single soul in that count. I drew unemployment once for a while, and felt like dirt while doing it.
Its sort of a mixed thing. She has been insanely effective in keeping the Democrats together and focused. But she is showing signs of just missing it every now and then. I think a lot of folks in congress can't toss her overboard because they can't see anyone doing better then her-issues and all. That will change if things get worse, but right now she is still amazingly effective. Even with her mind wandering at times.
And the right seem utterly unable to beat her.
My personal opinion? Its time for her to retire and maybe sit with Boehner and chat over some wine while they watch their replacements fumble around.
Yep. And a big reason why is influence/ability re fundraising.
