Here's why I don't care: The MANDATE was unconstitutional overreach. It was the house of sand that the ACA was built upon and there was no way in the world it would have lasted another decade. I'm not sure what the answer is but there has to be a more reasonable solution.
Some of the hardest working people I know are union ironworkers, electricians, ...
Detroit went downhill because people wanted a different kind of vehicle than American manufacturers decided to make. The Japanese were making fuel efficient cars that didn't need to be Fixed Or Repaired Daily. That's what people wanted and that's what they bought. Japanese auto workers are unionized and their cars were selling just fine.
A good portion of teachers are not union. In fact, the lowest performing students are in non-union states. So hard to put this on the unions.
I've worked union and I've worked non-union. I'd pick union any day. Co-workers are better trained. Safety conditions are better. Pay is better.
I take it you've had at least one unreliable FORD as well.
Just so everyone remembers.....Democrats want single payer health care. It the end game for them. Republicans don't want anything at all.
So, in response to that, the Democrats have to compromise and use the REPUBLICAN plan that originated in the early 1990's and the plan used by a REPUBLICAN governed in Massachusetts.

The Trump administration is going to court to try to remove the requirement for insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions. But they want to delay the action until after the midterms.
Trump went from "everyone is going to have health coverage and the government is going to pay for it" to trying to take health coverage away from as many as possible. I cannot imagine how he can look people in the eye while he tries to take health coverage away from someone who has been horribly sick.
O.K.
Dumb question.
If courts are looking to throw out protections for people with pre-existing conditions
I can only guess their medical premiums will rise as they have no choice but to seek
extra out of pocket coverage with someone who will insure them.
The middle class gets banged up once more against the wall.
But what about the destitute and those on medicaid ?
Where will the money come to support their coverage?
Will they get kicked out of nursing homes or denied entry into a hospital?
I just don't get it....
