That's a given.

Meanwhile, other nations are signing free trade agreements.
Yes we have a load of free trade agreements ourselves, free to import to the US, tough if not impossible to export to other countries. This is the reason for our thousands of empty factories, stagnant wages, and a 600 BILLION dollar trade deficit.

Trumps business ain't worth 10 million at this point. His Real Estate may be worth more, but no one is buying anything he sells except the neo-GOP and those are not rich people.

And whats a "real war"? You do realize the US is going on 17 years of endless war and we have enough weaponry to destroy the planet several times over?

Dont worry buying products made in Canada or China or Mexico arent going to pose a security risk lol

Can you elaborate how making american consumers poorer, giving them fewer choices and eliminating jobs will put the country in better shape for future generations?

American consumers have done a good enough job of destroying themselves with debt, credit cards, etc (with the help of gubmint, banks and greedy corporations). Much better that hard working Americans receive fair and dignified wages that allow one to support their family, standard of living, etc. This is the honest way to manage a capitalist system. Replacing good paying jobs with food stamps and credit cards is shortsighted and downright stupid.

It won't be long before we see a downturn and rising unemployment if this boils over into a trade war.
On the contrary, numerous figures on the right have expressed their opposition to his current trade policy, though some give allowance for the possibility that it's a negotiating tactic with the ultimate goal of reducing trade barriers. On the flipside, how many figures on the left held Hillary's feet to the fire for her politically expedient waffling on TPP?

I bet if Trump proposed his tariff policies to Congress tomorrow, 80% of Republicans would vote against it because it violates a core value of conservatism. On the other side of the aisle, 80% of Democrats would also vote against it because Trump proposed it while they'd gladly vote FOR it if, say, President Hillary were to propose them.

to affect a cure, a surgeon cuts into a patients flesh. the patient experiences short term pain before being restored to full health.

The anti trumpers begin wailing as the first cut is made. surely the doctor is killing the patient, look we have the pictures. See, he has sliced the flesh of the patient and look at the flowing blood. Death will soon follow.

Yep, the screamers persist in their premature predictions, ignoring perspective and their poor history of prognostication. Fear monger one and all, spreading the hate through hysterical theatrics.

Trumps tax cuts do the following,

Raise workers income by 0.8%
Raise middle class Americans income by 1.5%
Raise the richest 1% of Americans income by 13.5%
Raise the richest 0.1% of Americans income by 14.2%

And the Trump tax cuts give 47% of their benefits to the richest 1% of Americans.

Imagine the consumer spending if the richest 1% did not get tax cuts, and instead regular Americans got a 2x bigger tax cut.

And the ironic thing is, if regular Americans got a 2x bigger tax cut to buy cars, computers, TV's and cable TV (the richest 1% would have got increased incomes from all the new consumer spending for their products.)

We run a huge trade deficit with many countries. They commonly have tariffs on our goods while we have few. We export little while they bombard us with their goods. We have little to lose and much to gain from a more level playing field.
