No, the cases are different. If a child is taken from his or her parents @ the US border, it doesn't require a medical procedure, & of course the child is already born, able to breathe on his/her own - all the usual medical signs of independent life.
An abortion is a medical procedure. & no, TMK the majority of liberals are not in favor of late-term abortions. Mostly because late-term abortions are rare, are controlled or forbidden by state & federal regs, & aren't normally carried out for birth-control reasons. Usually it's a question of the health or life of the woman, & the fetus is either already dead, or brain dead, or suffers from severe medical problems, often expected to be fatal within a brief span of time.
Because women seeking late term abortions are doing so because either the child has a condition incompatible with life and it takes time to determine this with certainty or because the mothers life is in danger. While I’m sure there are the random few that decide they just don’t want a healthy baby that late, it’s very rare and not enough reason to put the women late term abortions exist for through more hell than they are already in.

I know late term abortions are rare and done for the reasons you listed. 17 weeks isn't late term it's the final week planned parenthood will do a abortion on a healthy fetus and healthy mother

It is your question that is stupid. It is not liberals or conservatives, people, all human beings who have a brain, are sad, worried, and angry at the way Trump has made this happen. What is going to happen to the children? Who is going to feed them, clothe them and care for them without their parents? What is it going to cost us - financially and morally to take care of these children who have been traumatized this way? When these children grow up they are going to be the worst nightmare to America.
Why are you worried about a fetus in a woman's body and and not care about living human beings? Late term abortions are very, very rare and when they are necessary there is very good reasons for it.
