That's an absurd supposition when the easy take on it is there really IS an issue with Trump being compromised. I mean c'mon, Trump caught with dirty laundry by Russians vs. an entire shadow government or "deep state" with 100's of moving parts that all work in unison and keep their evil plans secret from the rest of us. Which seems more likely?
Since Ockham's Razor is not to be applied in derogatiion of known facts, the second seems far more likely than the first. But, in any event, we don't have to choose something in theory. The evil plans you mention aren't secret from the rest of us

Your imagination (and the rabid rantings of Limbaugh, Jones, et al) don't count as "known facts".

And NOT working for the govt in any intelligence community, HOW is he going to see them?
If he had ANY such info it was his DUTY to report to is superiors and inform them.
If he DIDN'T, that is ANOTHER reason to remove his clearance.
Since he left as CIA Director, he has NOT been involved in any NEW information obtained, NOT sat in on any meetings with NEW info, etc.
And then went on the payroll of a "news?" organization AND came out as a highly partisan hack. Why would any administration leave what equates to a guided missile pre programed to hit THEM just lying around waiting to be launched at any time?
By Brennan (and other highly partisan hacks) being left with their clearances active you are leaving them the ability to (legally) receive, and then act as a LEAK of information as proven by Comey and his buddy the professor.
It would seem to me somebody in the administration learned from the Comey/professor situation.

This is exactly the point. Whether the administration is concerned that the recipient might exercise his or her First Amendment right to criticize (or laud) the administration should not be a factor in the granting or revocation of security clearances.

- Brennan used his security clearance status to gain access to the MSM as a intelligence insider.
- once settled into the MSM as a regular guest Brennan passed along fabricated accusations about Trump while still having security clearance.
- farbicrating accusations while having security clearance status suggests his accusations are based on accurate insider intel rather than just his opinion.
- passing off fabricated personal opinion as accurate intel from his “security clearance” is abuse and an attempt to undermine the presidency, and is also politically monetizing his status for his personal benifit.
- That is why his clearance was revoked.
Oh btw, no one is shutting up Brennan or preventing him from going on the news. He still has the freedom to talk to whom ever he wants. But even some liberals in recent days are starting to see he has no credibility

The second has been demonstrated to be true, since the leaders of FBI and DOJ and intelligence have been on TV promoting their views and we have seen email exchanges where they agreed to 'stop Trump'.
The 'dirty laundry' you refer to has not been seen.
