Yeah, you keep believing that "the media" is keeping radical socialism down, and not it's own bloody history as well as mankind's natural disposition towards freedom and private property.
The ones they are qualified for, or alternatively start your own business, start Amazon, build an app, build a website, clean houses, mow lawns, become a small brewer, wash cars, be smarter than me and figure out something even better. There is an endless list of ways to earn money in this country.
So, no answer. A small number of people can do what you state to make decent money. You don't make much with most of the things you note and only a limited number of those types of jobs.
If one does not think he/she makes Fair Market Value, they should be job-hopping in a great market.
My corp has counter offered 5 who quit. In 3 cases, the new corp went higher still. In all 5, we lost the employee.
Again, that works for a very limited number of people. That is not the discussion. I can drive trough town and there are quite a few "help wanted" signs out. They are all low paying jobs.

You want a system based on socialism here in the US, but the best you will do is "hope" for it, when meanwhile the reality is you can put in the work and effort to go to a country where its been implemented, yet you dont. Socialism is a wide term, there is authoritarian socialism which is not something I care for. There is other free forms of socialism such as anarcho-syndicalism which takes place at the grassroots level, not the state level. It has worked before and it will work again.

Conservatives will never admit that and continue to demonize the word 'socialism" and all those who dare utter it.
Which seems to me it's just mostly well-regulated capitalism but with programs like Medicare (for all), etc.
