Agreed-the OP is as dishonest as Trump.

What he fails to mention is that polluters in West Virginia are subject to the same federal environmental regulations as every other state in the country. Another "nothingburger". But hey-he hates Trump so he's got that going for him.

I noted that using pics from 1973 was dishonest but the drinking water in the largest area of the state as far as population go was recently poisoned.

The problem is, those regulations are regularly not enforced. (which does far precede Trump)

Evidently the Flint, Michigan episode was Trump's fault too. Surely he's been there and polluted the whole county.

I didn't say it was and NO this stuff should NOT happen. People did not do their jobs is why it happened.

Well what he really said on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 was
"During a sit-down Tuesday with top brass from The New York Times, President-elect Donald Trump told the assembled journalists, columnists and editors that “clean air and ‘crystal clear water’ were vitally important,”
and in 2017: "On climate change, Mr. Trump refused to repeat his promise to abandon the international climate accord reached last year in Paris, saying, “I’m looking at it very closely.” Despite the recent appointment to his transition team of a fierce critic of the Paris accords, Mr. Trump said that “I have an open mind to it” and that clean air and “crystal clear water” were vitally important."
and: "On the campaign trail, Trump said he would make “crystal clear, clean water” a priority as president."

I think it is another group who believes anything without supporting evidence. So where did he say "they (Appalachia) have crystal clear drinking water. You even believe a chemical spill in WV in 2014 or effluent from mining operations in 1973 has contaminated all of the water in all of Appalachia for all eternity.

There are some really nasty coal slurry's that have to be dealt with and we do not seem to be able to get the answers as to who will deal with them.

Again, while I condemned the old pictures the problem is not relegated to being an old problem.

UPDATE: DEP says water is safe after coal slurry leaked into river

The problem pre-dates Trump but Trump's double speak and complete lack of specifics does not inspire a lot of confidence.
