Kavanaugh accuser's lawyer requests additional day to decide on testimony

Lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, are asking the Judiciary Committee for an additional day to make a decision about testifying.
Debra Katz, a lawyer for Ford, sent a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee staff on Friday night calling the 10 p.m. timeline set by Chairman Chuck Grassley's (R-Iowa) staff "arbitrary" and an "aggressive and artificial" deadline.
"Its sole purpose is to bully Dr. Ford and deprive her of the ability to make a considered decision that has life-altering implications for her and her family. She has already been forced out of her home and continues to be subjected to harassment, hate mail, and death threats," Katz wrote.
"Our modest request is that she be given an additional day to make her decision," she continued.
The email comes after Grassley's staff said they had given Ford until 10 p.m. on Friday to reach an agreement on their offer for a public hearing next Wednesday or they would move forward with a committee vote Monday on Kavanaugh's nomination.
More DELAY and more WHINE ....... they are "Special" and should be able to tell the US Senate what to do. "Rules" are for the little people ...... you know, the Normal People.
As of tonight ...... Senator Grassley and the Republican Members STILL have no idea what is in their Infamous Letter that only the Media (and Diane Feinstein, the Ranking member) apparently have access to.
Senator Grassley should just ignore them at this point. Either the Judicial Committee & US Senate has the power of Advise and Consent on Judicial Appointments -- or some Lawyer named Katz and some woman none of them ever heard of named Dr. Ford have usurped that power that the US Constitution says belongs to the US Senate.
Normal People want this Circus that began with PAID for Protestors and a #Resistance-Obstructionist War against the US Voters over with it. Normal People actually think we have more important things to deal with than a whiney woman who has a 36 year old whine that she never thought was important until Brett Kavanaugh was nominated to the US Supreme Court.
We would like Tax Cuts to be permanent
We would like to deal with our failing and almost broke Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid systems.
We would like the Border Crisis to be solved
We would like the Immigration Programs fixed -- including DACA for those kids that were brought here.
We would like the Opioid Crisis to be addressed
We would like to STOP the flood of Illegal Aliens flooding across the borders
We would like the Infrastructure in the US to be repaired/replaced
We would like the Corruption cleaned out of Washington & fix out Bloated Federal Government
We are the Normal People ....... the #Resistance is only interested in Impeachment and Hate against the US President and those who voted for him. They want Socialism and to destroy the US System of Government .... and that would include obstruction to the US Supreme Court and appointment of Justices.
These are the choices ...... it's a time to choose. Total Hysterical Meltdown & Obstruction to everything
