What the other players agreed with is that men get away with more crap.

Everyone agrees with that.

What she did was continually double down on her ranting and bad behavior.

That's insupportable.

People who did not watch the whole match shouldn't be parsing details.

There's no excuse for the way Serena acted, taking away the limelight from Naomi and denigrating her magnificent accomplishment.

It’s shameful what US Open did to Naomi Osaka

Just the fact that she lied about the coaching in such a self-righteous way was enough for me to be angry...not counting her other ugly stunts.

Conduct unbecoming....

It's the US Open FINAL, the last thing that should happen is the chair umpire being part of the story.
The umpire is not to be a verbal punching bag either. She kept initiating the issue... on four different occasions during the set.

I think to angrily and repeatedly demand an apology from the umpire during the match was unbelievable. He's the umpire. Tell me the umpire or referee in any sport that responds to players' or managers' angry demands to change a call or apologize.

I said it earlier - I will say it again.

The social justice narrative was already written because they expected her to win... and not just by her, but by some rabid fans as well. SW is awesome... she had a baby and came back to win... probably some nike advertisements in the works as well... all based on her winning the championship. They all expected it like they expected Clinton to win the election. And the trend is the social justice warriors are not good at coping when life happens and they don't get their way.

She could have said nothing at all. It is refreshing to see that she “stuck up” for Naomi
After the crowd booed her.

Prove Trump and his supporters enjoy bashing black players. If you cannot then you are a liar.

It's beyond question that Trump applies different standards to different National and Ethnic groups (Muslim Ban, Mexican tweets, wanting Immigrants from Norway), and that he expresses sympathy with White Supremacists (Charlottesville comments and others). This is not some MSM invention (or Fox invention against Barack Obama), the proof is his OWN Tweets. It is as obvious as the nose on his face but many still claim it's not there.

Trump has repeated stated that owners should fire/release any protesting players (predominately black) for exercising their 1st Amendment rights. It is pretty obvious the guy has favorites and and little sympathy for those not fitting that category.

I have heard men say far worse to a chair umpire without incurring penalty.
She called him a thief, a liar and sexist. She lost it totally. The fact is Osaka was kicking her butt and Williams couldn’t take it.
