Trump promised to veto the spending bill unless it had money for the wall. He lied to you, just a few days ago at his last rally.

It WAS a campaign promise by him (that is a fact), but like some other things he has flip flopped on, I think its due to Trump not being 'privy' to how things really work BEFORE he actually won the election, before he won, he was just a normal citizen, he was not privy to all the deep dark Govt secrets/ how things are really done...

Once he was elected though, that changed, Im sure he got one heck of a briefing that night, I would imagine his jaw was probably on the floor in disbelief as well. Imo, this is probably why he has appeared to flip flop on his campaign promises, its not like he can really come out and say that though.

But do you think every promise is supposed to be delivered upon in the first 2 years?
Plus technically he's already kept the promise, because wall construction has been happening.
BTW speaking of Mexico paying, Canada just agreed to Trump's NAFTA deal.

He was the one who said he would get an awful lot done on Day 1. Still waiting on the awesome cheaper and better healthcare for all and no, it wasnt that mess that showed up for a vote in Congress.

He removed the Obamacare individual mandate, therefore people don't have to pay that, hence cheaper.

No, he promised something that would cover all, not just remove a condition of everyone having some. And the other half is missing....the better part. Just making something cheaper doesnt mean it's better. My current insurance continues to cost more each year and cover less, more so since he started.

You can't fault his endeavor.
He wanted to cover all but he had no way of knowing what Republican congress would go for, because he had no relationship with Paul Ryan prior to the election.
Trump was an outsider, so he could not have foreseen what the Republicans had in mind.

He is no Maverick. Shouldn't have made promises if he didn't even know how it would work.

"Odds are when you use this phrase in the workplace, you're not talking to Maverick. You're talking to someone with considerably less ability to back up the checks being written with performance."
