Concur. I've noticed several Democrats on here who are fully in support of what was done to Kavanaugh and cite Garland as if there is an equivalency. I think, to some, they truly believe it is no different which is pretty disturbing as one was political gamesmanship and the other actually personally injured and hurt people. I simply could never be the kind of person who supports the kind of actions the Democrats engaged in this last week just to win a political battle.
When the dust settles, the bolded will be what's left imo.
It also appears that there was an intentional effort to personally injure and hurt people or at best a reckless disregard of the sure knowledge that's what would happen.
Most Americans I know on either side have a good sense of what is fair and how far is too far.
I suspect the Democrats are going to get a rude awakening at the polls because what we have just witnessed is more vile and vicious politics than most Americans want to live with.

Remember when Hillary Clinton was interviewed by the FBI? The GOP made sure that report was made public.
But the GOP is doing everything they can do block the Kavanaugh FBI report to remain secret, even though tens of millions of Americans (on both sides of the issue) want to see it.
Republicans are being hypocritical, but what else is new.
The reports are being handled per the 2009 MOU between Obama and the Senate Judiciary Committee (by then Chairman Senator Leahy). You have an issue of keeping this information private per the Privacy Act and this MOU, take it up with the people who set up the rules.
You must be joking. One accuser ignored. Many witnesses ignored. An "investigation" hurried along in three days proves it's a sham on its face. It's really sad to see the president abuse the FBI by ordering them to do a flawed and incomplete report on purpose.
The way I look at this is, if Kavanaugh is confirmed, he probably won't last on the court as long as the conservatives would like, because he'll probably meet an early demise from cirrhosis of the liver. Or some other alcohol-related death.

The FBI does not "sniff out" lies or deceit or come to any conclusions in a background investigation.
Trump said the FBI has "free rein," that was a lie. The White House limited the scope and handcuffed the bureau from conducting a full and unimpeded investigation.
Several witnesses and Yale classmates who wanted to talk to the FBI were not interviewed.
This entire investigation was a sham, the GOP never cared about getting to the bottom of the allegations.
Or, just perhaps, the FBI felt nothing could be achieved by interviewing said witnesses. They didn’t interview my neighbor, who claims he went to Yale at the same time as all these folks and would have loved to be interviewed on this, either. He swears he flashed his weenie a couple of times at parties. I’m struggling to believe him, myself, but he swore it happened to my husband as he knocked back a few beers Saturday night.
