Why does it not surprise me that Trump would go ahead with a business deal with cold-blooded murders?

He's not alone in that. Canada ran afoul of them when the foreign secretary suggested they release a Canadian citizen arrested for nothing more than being related to a Saudi political dissident. The overblown response by that "Prince" was off the charts.

BUT: Canada had already inked a $15 billion deal a couple of years ago to supply these things:

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/can...deal-1.4579772

Canada will use the usual language to object to Saudi actions while not risking that deal.

Canada will not however, use language seeking to support whatever Saudi excuse (rogue hit squad) they can manufacture to excuse their 'camel shagging, still wiping their butts with their middle finger', retarded behaviour.

Rubio and Lindsey Graham. Tough talkers. But when it's time to back up tough talk with tough action they'll back down like the phony blowhard cowards that they are.

The SUBHUMAN Trump and the rest of the GOP has already proven how little they care about human rights by butt-kissing the world's DESPOTS, including the Saudis responsible for 9/11, the treatment of the children at the border, possibly selling them to human traffickers, and the treatment of Puerto-Rico!

I think they should be forced to have DNA tests to prove if they even ARE HUMAN!

It's business as usual for Trump. He admires the despots of the world, he wants to appear "strong" like them. It's no accident that he protects Putin and is giving the barbarous Saudis a free pass. And still, the deluded fools will kneel and genuflect to their anointed King.

Also Trump has been lining his pockets with Saudi blood money. The Saudis have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars at the Trump International Hotel in DC.

Trump may seriously lack empathy, among many other things BUT it's really not that straightforward.

The Saudis are the biggest ally of the US in the Middle East outside of Israel. They have been in this position since the founding of the Kingdom. Their oil company used to be part of Standard (Amoco) Oil. They are currently the biggest oil supplier to the US. They have the world's biggest reserves. Their country contains the largest proven reserves in the world. They are a huge customer of US military hardware. The agree to denominate all oil sales in USD. Their country contains the two holiest sites to over 1 billion Muslims worldwide and has been stable for decades.

Regardless of what you think of their autocratic religious rule, it is a complex process to get them to own up and accept blame for killing a journalist and US resident.

in the Middle East people die everyday by large numbers and some by the weapons we sell to Saudi and other regimes and NOBODY gives a cr@p.....1 WP reporter dies and it's an international crisis.

Let's add Saudi to the list of countries we need regime changes and continue with the endless wars and endless occupations and throw billions of dollars down the drain.

And what do they do with this military hardware besides bombing women and children in Yemen. Why is the U.S. backing the slaughter of people who have never done us any harm? Saudi money is blood money.
