All governments everywhere in the world have some level of "ugliness" as you put it. It's hard to argue that the US is a standout. If you were to rank all the powerful nations of the world in terms of ugliness, who would be the "least ugly"?
The United States is significantly more destructive compared to other countries. Look at the number of countries we are bombing daily, it makes Russia look like peaceful hippies.
And more importantly our main concern should be the crimes of our own country, you clean up your own house first. If you want to stop terrorism, stop participating in it.
