Cant disagree with you there. Seems to be a trait for those who seek and then wish to retain the ultimate power. Clintons anyone? Remember when Obama whacked a citizen with a drone?

Since he's not an American, what can we do? I've heard perhaps sanctions, not on the country, but on the individuals involved. I feel sorry for the man and his family, but don't these guys realize their danger? It's similar to the pastor who was just released, don't travel to the middle east, it's dangerous.

Agreed.
It could cost someone else's life to save yours.

Yes, we have meddled with Saudis for decades, but that is not the issue here. When was the last time they murdered and dismembered employees of US newspapers before?

He wasn’t an employee.

It also amusing how one man means more to you than the thousands of Yemeni children who have been butchered by this same country.

You are amused by your own straw man arguments. A self-amusing person. Brilliant!

More deflection, you suppose in your previous post that the current murder (Saudis routinely execute women and gays btw) makes support for Saudi Arabia different from past support.

This is a desperate attempt to differentiate Trump from other presidents being as you can’t accept Trump is just like our past presidents, our government has always been this ugly and horrible but you can’t bring yourself to admit that Trump is not an anomaly, he is more of the same. Obama, Clinton, all your favorite leaders all the same as Trump.

This is in no way worse than anything else the Saudis routinely do.

Some truth to this but like anything else, it's never that simple. You are right in that the military industrial complex that emerged after WWII has driven much of the "ugliness". We are an arms peddler.

All governments everywhere in the world have some level of "ugliness" as you put it. It's hard to argue that the US is a standout. If you were to rank all the powerful nations of the world in terms of ugliness, who would be the "least ugly"?
