It's true that Trump's rhetoric regarding journalists/media has no doubt given the impression that he could care less if a permanent resident of the US is killed at an embassy - if that permanent resident is a journalist. "Enemy of the people". "Evil" and so on and so forth.

Meanwhile - HIS party is calling for 'civility".

They've all armed the Saudis it's true. But they have NOT all demonized the press - publicly and loudy every chance they got. Prolly the Saudi's think they did Trump a favor since he's an 'enemy of the people' and all.

Your screen name is appropriate. You missed the fact that assassination is worse.
I hear you.
Kennedy and Lincoln were assassinated.
High political powerful persons out in public are technically assassinated when criminally murdered.

Although this is moot...the killing of a journalist is more of an execution style killing. Still criminal murder however it speaks to the situation that this man was lured into. To be " detained" says the Trump family friend prince guy, is why Kushner probably hid the Intel from everyone...or just Trump knew....for a friend....who just wants to " detain" an annoying journalist.
Killing a captive / prisoner is considered an " execution" .

So now the Trump admin is into executing journalists who work for American news sources.
Anyone surprised???

And the Republicans say everyone should be afraid of groups of protesting lady democrats.

The journalist's life, the civilians/children being killed, the support for terrorists, human rights violation, that's no problem. The Saudis will pay up, and that's going to be the end of it.
I think also it has to do with the fact some people New the journalist (he was a Saudi insider, in no way a dissenter) so belt way insiders feel awkward covering this up.

It won’t last of course, SA can butcher kids in Yemen, kill dissidents, etc. and people are perfectly fine with it, bipartisan support is to strong for this story to go anywhere.

Of course Trump is guilty, but unlike what your last post suggested, Obama is no better. He grew lighted their invasion of Yemen, and offered political cover and military financing for all 8 of his years.

All presidents support SA, this problem has little to do with Trump.

It has everything to do with Trump.
Or, is the US usually complicit with the execution of an "American" ( for all purposes ) in a foriegn country by its leaders...?
Trump has clearly forgiven Kim Jong Un for the death of Otto W. after Trump used the parents for his own publicity.

Yes this did not occur here, yet.
But he allowed the man to walk into his death.

Mike Flynn tried it just before Trump was elected ..arranging for a man to be kidnapped from PA for return to the Turkish government to be " detained"

Blood money whores too cowardly to save this mans life.
And rather than even address the atrocity Trump hosts Kanye West for a demonstration of " mental illness with money"

Vote out Trump and every Republican.
They re not watching out for you. No argument on that anymore. They just want your money. That is a fact.

No president would ever question SA, that is a fact. You can try to tie this to a Trump problem, but it’s an America problem.

Trump is shying away claiming he fears giving up the $$$ of Saudi Arabia's purchases from the MIC. Of course being able to dispose of anyone who speak's poorly of him would also seem to be one of Trump's fondest fantasies.

He's too busy with fruitcake Kanye to care and show compassion about this horrid murder (if true).

Should have immediately instilled some kind of pressing sanctions against S.A.

Check out the non-sense response when they are asked about Saudi Arabia, can't even talk:

From the article:
"Administration officials have not commented on the intelligence reports that showed a Saudi plan to lure Khashoggi."

When they do respond hopefully it will be someone who can talk.
You presented the picture of Trump with the Saudis as if it were the missing link in the thread when it was actually the topic of the thread. That is what I responded to.
