We can only control how we as a society act. The point is why is Iran demonized and Saudi Arabia given a pass for virtually the same behavior? Are we really so craven and money hungry that weapons purchases excuse this kind of behavior?

If so we'd do well to remember the proverb: The love of money is the root of all evil.

You guys are truly truly fascinating in that you're just now willing to pay attention to the abuses of US allies of many decades because your guy isn't in office.

This is after all the same country that it was 2 years ago where just gay sex can get you treated like that.

But suddenly you great patriots of freedom care....you have no moral compass, just R vs. D.

You'd probably put a bullet into them yourselves if told it was for the better good (R or D).

I don't mean to single you out, clearly we have R posters here that would gladly act the same as you if the president were a (D).

SPOT ON, I totally agree....every President for decades have been Saudi HOs, and China's HOs, as well!

Agreed. However your decision to speak up only when the opposition party in power tells us that the root of all evil is also political.

P.S. the fact you have to ask, after almost 40 years of secret alliances why we help SA and bust Iran's acorns is just sad. In fact, the fact that you have strong opinions of something you have little knowledge of is sad.

Default President Flip-Flop In Action

At first he said the Saudis would face "severe punishment" over Khashoggi murder.

Now it's basically 'Who cares?'

The Moral?

Spend lots of $$$ with the US and/or the POTUS and do whatever the hell you want.

Trump loves the Saudis like the Bushes loved the Saudis. Who knows why.

He's probably too worried about upcoming indictments from Mueller to care much about some murder in Turkey.

The moral is that this maniac POTUS has no morals, nearly everything out of his mouth is a lie, and he will for sure take the opposite position to any he took just days or even hours previously.
