Being the op, that may have been a minor reason, but the main reason is to deflate the meme of xenophobia being the sole purview of old white men.

Who knows; an infusion of migrants, far from worsening things, may actually IMPROVE the conditions established by those nicer, and supposedly less pig-like Mexicans.
A poster put this in another thread. Something for you to ponder

From the article:

Nevertheless, the people who stayed behind told me they had a common reason for doing so. On Wednesday night, noted human rights activist father Alejandro Solalinde visited the stadium and said a Canadian archbishop would be visiting Saturday to talk about transporting asylum-seekers to Canada instead of the U.S.

Hmmmm...

For the umpteenth time we don't have to hunt illegals down. Just deport those who make themselves known and remove all of the incentives for the rest to remain here.

No, 2/3 of illegals are not visa over stayers. Only 40% are and 60% are border jumpers but the percentages don't matter anyway as both problems need to be dealt with not just one or the other. Obviously, each one will have to be dealt with in a different way.

Don't care what some Texans don't want. Those who won't sell a portion of their property for a wall can just deal with the illegals trespassing on their property all by themselves. They'd be begging for a wall in no time.

Bet they'll turn down Canada's offer just like they did with the Mexican offer. They just aren't good enough for them.

Most Texans who live on the border aren't in a perpetual state of hysteria over "illegals" like you are

The answer of course is that Sanctuary states make it easy for the illegal aliens to get benefits or they "borrow" someones identity or SS number and use that to reap the benefits.

Desperate people will resort to desperate measures and often they don't mind bending or breaking the law to get by and there is a growing number of people in the US that are wiling to let them break the law.

Not only that but many if not most illegal aliens in our country have produced an anchor baby or two on our soil and they get welfare benefits through them.

I just want to bust out laughing with this constant nonsense of legalizing millions of illegal aliens and therefore that will reduce our illegal alien numbers. They still broke our immigration laws and would still be here! That's exactly what we don't need. You can put lipstick on a pig but they're still a pig as the saying goes. They don't suddenly become a cat or a dog.

Ahh yes again the red shoes magic. All you got to do is click your heels together 3 times and the illegal aliens vanish. And actually OG it has about the same chance of working as your self deporting nonsense.

Stop the misquoting OG. Your posts always have to be a lie. I said 2/3 of the present border crossers are over stayers which is what the immigration people estimate.

There is absolutely no interest in TX in walling off the river and there never will be. So there will always be 100s of miles of the Rio Grande to cross into the states...and it will remain without walls forever.
