Someone said earlier that they heard there would be a mad rush at noon today.

They just closed the points of entry north and south at San Ysidro because there’s a group marching to the border crossing.

I just love THE IRONY of this.

The blackmarket associated with the drug war created the political instability that has given these people the right to claim asylum in the united states.

My understanding is that they rushed past Mexican police to occupy the "no mans land" (I know it's not the right term) between the Mexican POE and the US POE but have made no attempts to confront US guards or scale the wall or push past the US POE gates/lanes.

I wonder if they planned to occupy that land. If they shut down the ports of entry, something has to give.

I’ve seen conflicting articles, but if they turned down jobs in Mexico, the asylum claims are bogus.
