No, he wasn't! Obama counted those turned away at the border as deportations. He also implemented DACA and DAPA to shield illegal aliens from deportation. He instructed Homeland Security not to deport any illegal aliens unless they were "convicted" criminals. His deportation record was dismal.

Default President Trump says invasion is a national emergency

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...51078328885248

I am hoping for any time now he will declare it legally a national emergency and send the military to the border. No more kid gloves...time to clamp down HARD! To hell with the backlash.

So what is he going to do? Have the troops open fire on a bunch of unarmed civilians? That would go over really well.

Smart move by Trump getting ahead of this.

The motive for this whole caravan/invasion is to give Trump bad press at the election. This is the October Surprise.

Either Trump will let them in - and discourage the base.

-or-

Trump will will be forced to turn this into an ugly scene by those provoking the issue. Understand - Trump is responding to actions done beyond his control, but it will be spun into Trump has caused this, and he hates immigrants. The media spin is already in place.

Get your minds ready to deal with this.

Also note... hurricane is due to hit Mexico. That may play a factor as well.

Caravan is going to backfire on the Dems big time....
No one wants to be invaded....American Mexicans are the ones that vote...and they hate Guatemalans and Hondurans..are smart enough to know at the least they will take jobs away from Mexicans....unlike some American blacks that still don't get it and vote democrat
...and this is putting it right in the face of everyone in this country

No one could have come up with a better advertisement for build the wall.....

Corporations use labor contractors to avoid liability in hiring illegals, and the labor contractors simply go out of business when caught then open back up under a different name. It's amazing that so few people understand how that works or realizes that it has been happening since the 70's.

Even when the Government can prosecute the employer rather than the labor contractor the 'punishment' is a fine that they can write off on their taxes. Put them in jail or seize their business if they keep it up and I can guarantee you very few people will illegally cross our southern border.
disgree. some come to work some come to mooch. and keeping them out in the first place IS the issue at hand here.

BearGeek40, you and all the Trump supporters can harp endlessly about how badly we need this and that, but until Trump stops treating his presidency like a four year long vacation with Congress cheerleading him the whole time, nothing at all will happen. You want something done? Write to Congress or protest. Until then, nothing of any consequence will occur but more rallies and golf weekends.

Apparently Trump supporters are perfectly OK with Trump being the laziest president ever elected because many of you post threads bragging about how massive the crowds are at his weekly rallies and how popular Trump is as if he is still a reality TV star rather than the president of the United States with actual work to do. You and millions of other voters chose a bobble headed Homecoming King for president, and it's all you and other Trump voters' fault he is accomplishing nothing. Talk is cheap, and POTUS is full of that, for sure.
