If it was a white concealed weapon owner protecting a black employee from a black thug, the liberal media will not be disclosing the races.

That's good shooting.

Can't even imagine the fear he had. He's alive, thankfully, but he's going to be jumpy for awhile, as are the kid and his dad. Hopefully they'll be alright - that's a lot for someone to go through.

Article I read says they’re not sure yet if it was a robbery because the shooter started shooting as he walked in.

Yeah, the employee in the freezer had no idea it was an exchange of gunfire that he was hearing. He just assumed the gunman was the only one armed and picking people off.

Scary as hell.

as for the OP, good for dad taking out the perp. lets hope dad ends up ok.
Thanks for the hint. What is the latest someone can go in before the cash drawer is changed?

that depends on the hotel and what time each shift starts. it also depends on how the desk clerks were trained, some of them squirrel away most of the money in the cash drawer to minimize the loss if they get held up. we started doing that in new mexico after the hotel was robbed and we lost $1500 because the clerks had all the money in the cash drawer, instead of locked away.
