I question the IQ of people who rob fast food joints...I mean really...way to many witnesses and you aren't getting that much cash! Good thing this idiot met his maker for his attempted robbery...Hope the dad recovers.

Great job. One dead POS.

Hope the dad recovers and that the employee they interviewed is doing ok. Poor guy was hiding in the freezer and thought it was just a matter of time before it was his turn.

it doesnt matter to these guys who rob places, they just want the money. i worked at a hotel many years ago where i was robbed. the drawer had just been changed perhaps an hour before and we only had $200 in the drawer. had they guy come in an hour earlier he would have gotten away with more than $800 in cash. and this is why these guys rob so many places, they go in at the wrong time.

as for the OP, good for dad taking out the perp. lets hope dad ends up ok.

I'm shocked.

Supposedly, successful use of firearms for self defense is 'never' reported in the media.

How did this happen?

Probably thought “What are the chances of a concealed weapon owner being in a ‘kid-friendly’ restaurant? The employees are probably prohibited from bringing guns in, so who’s going to stop me?”

I’ve noticed a lot of “dollar” stores also get robbed. Thugs probably figure “Who’s going to bother thinking they have to carry a gun to defend themelves in a dollar store?”

Then there are banks, which are insured for losses, so bank tellers are not going to mind if I ask for some free money.

Now the liquor store and gas station robbers are the crazy ones. You know the clerk has a gun. Then again, there’s a lot more money involved to make it worthwhile if you survive.

Don't worry-CNN seems to have missed it. Only the more responsible, less biased networks are carrying this.

I'm curious as to what the race of the shooter was and what the race of the Good Samaritan is.
