They didn't say a thing about illegal immigrants. This is about pouring through the records of legal green card holders to see if they ever used any social service programs in the past and denying them citizenship if they did. Doing this prospectively is one thing but to apply it retroactively is cruel and unnecessary.

That is regarding the link when I was addressing the EO thread topic and a mischaracterization anyway. Trump is just trying to enforce pre-existing immigration law that wasn't being enforced, kind of like how pre-existing immigration law isn't being enforced when illegals are working and not being deported.

We allow in 1 million legal immigrants a year so how can that poster claim we aren't a welcoming country anymore? Such a ridiculous comment from them.

We have too much quantity and not enough quality in legal immigration too. The left is just going to accuse everyone who doesn't want open borders as being a "white nationalist", which is a meaningless term since this is a historical white majority country, so why give in one inch to democrats? Might as well shut all immigration down and reap all the societal and cultural awards that would bring since they're going to name call anyway.

I’m getting so tired of Trump and his minions saying democrats want open borders when it’s just not true. Why all of a sudden with this presidency democrats are to blame. This has been a problem for decades under both leaderships. We need immigration reform which everyone has tried to do but no one can agree upon. And a wall is not the answer
