I think the question posed in this thread is a legitimate one, and I really want to respond honestly and seriously. I try to find some good in every person, no matter how much I might disagree with them. But, as hard as I try, I honestly can not find one thing about Donald Trump to say that is positive.

Even when he starts off, in some speech, sounding like he might actually say something good, he always blows it at the end by letting that little devil on his left shoulder take over his mouth. He does it time and time again, almost like he is totally unable to control himself.

I guess, if I had to find something nice to say, it would be that he seems to really care about his daughter Ivanka, and love her deeply. As a father myself, that is something I like about him.

There, I found something.

The sad thing for him and immensely frustrating to his Republican allies and handlers is that he's actually not doing too badly on the economic front. If he would just put a muzzle on his mouth and smash his phone/delete his twitter account then he would probably have very high approval ratings. But his relentless attacks on everybody, both from the left and right, has probably done too much damage and now there will always be a group of people who will never warm to him no matter what he achieves going forward. I would go so far as to say all it would take is a reasonable, centrist candidate ala Bill Clinton in 1992, then he gets washed in 2020. Now if the Dems go and get another Bernie Sanders/Hilary Clinton, then o boy.

Pro: He has sent a firm message that an ever-expanded central government, funded by an ever-increasing tax burden, cannot solve all our problems, And in doing so, he has angered and identified many special interests who think the world should revolve around their pet concerns -- the fundamental flaw of too much socialism, "identity politics" and "Political Correctness".

In short, he has drawn an attack from a spoiled, and increasingly-militant collection of losers who are a far greater threat to the continued development of true pluralism than ISIS, Russia, or any other foreign force,

Con: He may understand the need for an open economy, and why tariffs are a bad idea, but he can't afford to confront the more short-sighted among his own fallowing when faced with inconvenient facts and hard choices.

Pros: He actually cares about the country and people above himself and isn't easily bought off like other politicians since he was already a billionaire before entering politics.

He is against the globalist policies that have been uniformly supported by the establishment of both parties for decades that for years have been gradually weakening and destroying America.

He is making an effort to actually drain the swamp and is completely shaking up the corrupt political stagnation in Washington, and because of this is forcing many snakes and swamp creatures in DC to come into the light and expose who they really are to the public.

He is a disruptive catalyst of major change which is exactly what we needed in government, especially after Obama's touted "hope and change" slogans fell flat as he sold out to the establishment pretty quickly into his 1st term.

Cons: Hasn't dropped enough red pills on the public yet. But I believe this will change after the election red wave which will allow the swamp draining process to go into overdrive unimpeded.

He will never remove his social media presence no should he. This is how he gets his message directly to the people unimpeded allowing him to bypass the fake news media.

Fair assessment of what you like about him, although I disagree I understand that is why Trump supporters like him in spite of his actions. I just don't see that he deserves credit for some of those accomplishments, how hard is it to appoint a supreme court judge, put in tax cuts or recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. I thought he would at least lead the charge on campaign finance reform or infrastructure. If he came up with a long term solution to immigration or reform health care that would be considered significant.

Its hard to believe that a sitting president uses twitter to insult people because he needs to respond to every insulte, some consider its normal but its totally irrational.

About his twitter and big mouth that puts him into trouble. I've accepted that fact. I call it foot in mouth disease and Trump has a bad case of it. That being said, I can't find much he's done that I don't approve of.
I can forgive him for the foot in mouth disease. Maybe he really can't help it and needs professional help with it like an alcoholic or drug addict, but regardless he's been doing a great job IMO.

That pro is what makes insurance for people who have pre-existing conditions to pay higher premiums. Think about how insurance actually works. When everyone is covered, the premiums will be lower for those who are ill and higher for those who are healthy, but that is the point. The risk needs to be spread. When you buy insurance, you transfer the cost of a potential loss to the insurance company in exchange for a fee, known as the premium. Insurance companies invest the funds securely, so it can grow, and pay out when there’s a claim.

And there is the problem with this thread. One's person positive is another person's negative as far as anything goes especially with politics, not just Trump.
