I have plenty of Jewish neighbors. None of them have such a display.

My post was a hypothetical example. And yes, you'd be crying about it on c-d.

Did you watch your own video? People have complained.

And why should the town have to foot the bill for security for this guy? If he wants the big, obscene display then he should pay for all that comes with it. Why isn't that fair?

Yes. He is ignorant and selfish for not thinking of the impact this would have on his neighbors for only 20 days which happens to be some of the busiest days of the year.

So you know the guy personally then. You would have to know him to be able to call him ignorant. As has been stated, for 15 years, no problem. Then one person moves in and complains. Suddenly hes ignorant. Interesting.

Seems the neighbor was the ignorant one by not doing some research before moving in.

Plus, he's a leech who expects everyone else to foot the bill for the security his display is costing the town.

His Jewish neighbor could move to Israel if they hate Christmas and Christians. Why should he not be able to celebrate the national holiday on his own way the way he wants as it is his own private lot?!

No mature adult needs to ask this question.

We do not live on islands. We can do what we'd like on our property - up to a point. After that, the police are called by people who shouldn't have to put up with the nuisance.

You could also say that the ones who come to view the home are the leeches. They are expecting the home owner to foot the bill for the electricity for the bill his display costs him.

Good point. How many people have holiday parties requiring street parking?

What about kids trying to sleep? People are probably driving by or parking and walking over until late in the night.

Only an egotistical ass would do this.

There were complaints last year. They may have gotten more this year.

Complaints - more than one. You're believing the guy who is whining. There's more to the story and I doubt nobody complained for 15 years.

Is he being forced to do it? No, it's his choice. He puts it up precisely so people will come and look at it.

His choice, his responsibility to pay the bill for the security it requires.
