I'm sure what the Dems are hoping for is that Trump gave or was given money to Putin.

Why don't we demand to see Muellers tax return?

Why don't we demand to see Trumps Christmas list?
We have demanded to see every president's tax returns. Trump should be no different.

Considering he's been audited numerous times I'm not sure what that is supposed to accomplish other than trying to embarrass him.

...and you can keep on demanding. It's voluntary and that is the way it should be.

On Inauguration Day in Washington, anarchists and activists tore through the streets for 16 blocks, tossing bricks at police officers, setting trash cans and a limousine on fire and smashing windows, all in opposition to the new commander in chief.
You're spinning. The transition from the Obama administration to the Trump administration was perfectly smooth. Protests don't upset the transition.

Congress will obtain the tax returns. I'm sure Mueller already has them

TWO YEARS of non-stop whining by every corner of the Democrat party. Vehicles and buildings being torched during his inauguration. The "I think about blowing up the White House and nasty women" march the next day. All impeachment all the time chants. Damned no matter what he does and feigning outrage constantly by the politicians. The press corp turning into activists and using press briefings as their own confrontational soapbox.

Perfectly smooth?

Damn, I'd hate to see what your definition of rough is.

The only fact is that facts don't really seem to matter to the left, whatsoever. At least not anymore.
Yes, the transition was perfectly smooth.

Protests do not upset the transition, and protests are legitimate exercises of free speech.

As for whining, my ears are still ringing from the eight years of whining that Republicans put out there during Obama's presidency. "He's wearing shirtsleeves in the Oval Office!" "He wasn't born in the United States!"

What does being audited have to do with him releasing his tax returns?

We never had to think about it before. Everyone before him always released theirs. It was a non-issue until Trump decided to make it one.
