Oh, the poor BP officers who did everything they could.
Except, of course, give her a drink of water.
What kind of scum doesn't give a thirsty little girl water?
Do you seriously think “a drink of water” would magically negate the damage to her organs caused by several days with NO water and weeks/months of exertion?

That poster and others think this all happened in the 8 hours she was in the custody...she went from a happy go lucky little girl to being dead....and it all ONLY happened in those 8 hours....
I mean ~ did we not give that kid a drink of water during the 8 hours she was in custody??????????
I mean, could her father not have given her something to eat or drink in the "several days" before the BP got her for a mere 8 hours?

Homeland Security said she started having seizures more than eight hours later. Her body temperature was recorded by emergency responders as 105.7 degrees.
The Border Patrol told the Post in a statement that she "reportedly had not eaten or consumed water for several days."
BP agents are not medical staff. The WaPo story also states they have no idea if the BP gave her food or drink. Regardless, the reason that she died is because her own father didn't take care of his own child.
According to CBP records, the girl and her father were taken into custody about 10 p.m. Dec. 6 south of Lordsburg, N.M., as part of a group of 163 people who approached U.S. agents to turn themselves in.
More than eight hours later, the child began having seizures at 6:25 a.m., CBP records show. Emergency responders, who arrived soon after, measured her body temperature at 105.7 degrees, and according to a statement from CBP, she “reportedly had not eaten or consumed water for several days.”
The Border Patrol is reporting that she had had no food or water for several days. Are some of the more hysterical liberals around here trying to pretend that the Border Patrol also did not give her water after they found her???
How sick are you people?
if you really want to know.... see below.

Ok, I'm probably going to go straight to hell for saying this, but...
How could the US possibly be expected to deal with illegal aliens' medical issues?
The illegals CHOSE to put their and their kids' lives at risk by trying to sneak over. The US cannot play Captain Save-the-World. There are plenty of LEGAL residents and American citizens who already are struggling.
It's horrible what happened to the little girl, but it's unfair to not recognize that the parents created the problem in the first place by deciding to drag the entire family on a very dangerous trek.

You're not "going to hell" for saying the truth, but you will "get hell" from the left for saying the truth.
The father is the sole reason that the kid died. Trying to pin this on the Border Patrol is disingenuous, at the least.
You left this out from the article:
Processing 163 immigrants in one night could have posed challenges for the agency, whose detention facilities are meant to be temporary and don't usually fit that many people.
