Rashida Tlaib will be sworn into Congress in style.
The representative-elect from Michigan’s 13th Congressional District announced in an Instagram post on Saturday that she will wear a traditional Palestinian thobe to her swearing-in ceremony in Washington, D.C., next month.
Muslim wants to flaunt her religion for attention. No big deal we know they are here. Its not going to put a dent in bacon sales. For what its worth all of congress can take the oath of office on a BLT as long as they don't use white bread. That would be racist.

Yeah, like Republicans don't try to slip a bible verse or two into everything.
She's way more socially liberal than your average Republican.

I don't really care about the gown, but the message she sends out is quite obvious.
Earlier this month Tlaib told The Intercept that she plans to lead a congressional delegation to the Israeli-occupied West Bank, breaking from traditional trips to Israel for newly elected members taking place for decades, sponsored by the pro-Israel lobby group American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
I have no problems that if she plans to personally deal with a pro-Israel lobby, but I am getting sick and tired that we elect bunch of politicians who seem to care about other countries more than they care about their own country.
Pathetic. Libertarian party seems to be the answer.

I agree. This kowtowing to Israel has to stop.
