Double tree does have some good chocolate chip cookies. That should count for something.
Absolutely. If Earl and the night manger have any smarts at all they stuffed a bunch of those cookies in their pockets to tide them over while they look for a job. Then again, if they had any smarts at all they wouldn't be in the position of needing to look for a job...
This is speculation, you have have no idea if he said any of this.
Seeing the vibe the guy gave off, it most likely did. I've lived in both Baltimore and New Orleans, I've been exposed to plenty of people like this. This guy has a very ghetto vibe from the video, just saying.
So,a rude guest who escalated a situation has now got two people fired.
I hope he's happy.
I wonder if he'll ever learn any manners or just high-five the bros for making two hard-working people unemployed.
If I saw him with his feet up on my furniture I'd kick his ass out of the door.
Wearing a dinner jacket does not mean you can polish a turd.
The guy let the situation escalate because he was profiled. Probably didn't want to tell the security guard what room he was staying at, so the guard call the cops. I understand why he would make a big deal about it, but had he been a mature person, he would have cooperated from the beginning and let them be racist without calling attention, he would not have been kicked out of the hotel. He got his minute of fame and proved that racism is alive and well.
Well, two of the hotel's employees were fired!
Would you say that this is a good thing?
So, by the man videotaping the incident, the result is that going forward if another African American male patron in the lobby on the phone has a lower probability of being told to leave the premises then would you say that the man's actions were commendable?
Just think, a smart phone is a great tool!
Ensure that you have a smart phone and know how to use it!
Maybe the smartest investment that has been invented - particularly for individuals who in the past were marginalized!

Then why would they rent him a room in the first place?
This is an overt act of racism, and Hilton has now had it's reputation sliced and diced around the world. There are thousands of people like me who will never bother them for lodging or anything else again. I really hope he sues everything that moves until he owns the Double Tree brand.

He was sitting there talking on the phone with his room key in his hand. He was a paying guest who had done nothing wrong besides sit in the lobby while black. Fail. And may all the racists connected with this incident starve in the street.
