I don't want "free" car insurance either. But I do want car insurance. I don't want to give others a choice not to buy it and then get in accidents and not be able to pay the bills.

I want clean air and water also. You would think I deserve that "for free", but not in todays world.
Like taking other people’s legally earned money at gunpoint to fund your health care?

20 years on the interweb and still repeating the old Irwin Schiff stuff? Most of us have moved on. There is a reason certain states are called Commonwealths. Common Wealth. We do it voluntarily. I could easily move my domicile to Florida and pay much less at Rick Scotts (red tide rick!) bequest, but I won't do it because I have chosen to be one of the group that funds ourselves.

We all start and end up in the same place. It's what you do in between that counts and I can assure you it's not repeating useless talking points...that will increase your score or happiness.

I love how you justified armed robbery and slavery.

My wife and I didn't get a ticket for 20 years in New England the Mid-Atlantic. We bought a house in Florida and had three tickets within a month. Did we change our driving habits? No.

Heck, here in Florida they still lock people up for Pot....big time. They'll even lock up a pain patient from another state with a Medical Card (since it's not a florida card)...

As far as children, I hear many people here lamenting the fact that our reproduction rate has gone lower and lower. Personally I am very glad we had our first two when we were very young (didn't have much money....that's for sure). A young person is much more capable of juggling more balls in the air, especially kids and work. The idea of waiting until one has a certain amount of money in the bank before reproducing is not something I subscribe to.

I'd council the middle ground on that one. Make sure you have a partner or family that will/can help and be realistic about what it takes to raise a child. I wish they would teach more of this in public schools. I'll write the script.
Just as the OP said, being poor in America is a choice.

Hillary Clinton was a Senator for a number of years. She did nothing for the state she represented in this matter. Why should she have been believed it would have been different had she been in the White House?

1.) OK, sure. Try telling that to an 18 year old kid.

2.) Seems simple enough, especially when your own means are adequate enough. Some people have a tough month and have to put some groceries on credit because they don't want to ask for food from a charity or friends

3.) Marriage takes two people to agree to it. Divorce does not.

4.) Again, sounds nice in principle. Some folks find they are expecting unexpected children.

5.) Again, nice in principle. But there are often valid reasons why folks cannot finish high school or go to college. By the way, with a lot of folks, myself included, tech school is a much better option than college.

6.) My work ethic is fine. I was good at it and won awards for it. But I still got laid off twice because I was the newest hire both time. Then there was my aforementioned medical scare that caused me to have to quit my job.

Again, it's easy to sit at a keyboard or on your phone and give great life advice like "Do this and you'll never be poor." It's also bull crap.

I am not poor anymore but I grew up in a poor family and immigrated to America without knowing much English. My parents gave me $1500 in total. I know everything about being poor.

I have been through many layoffs and I sat in the management meetings deciding who gets to go. Here’s the thing you don’t know. We don’t lay off good workers and seniority means jack.

The state she represented didn't need that - it was a modern state.
She did a whole bunch of stuff to bring money to NY after 9/11 and during her terms.

But who am I to say? Ask the people of NY....

"Clinton has enjoyed high approval ratings for her job as Senator within New York, reaching an all-time high of 72 to 74 percent approving (including half of Republicans)"

I don't think Trump will ever see those numbers...nor accomplish anything close.....

Given the choice I would trust Hillary with just about anything when compared to Trump. It's not a high bar....in that case...and she has more than proven that she actually knows things.

So, yeah, those are the reasons I could believe her more.

I seriously doubt Walmart has all this power.

I drove in countless countries and regions and got zero ticket, not even a parking ticket.

Please don’t tell me it’s impossible.
