Its gonna be interesting as social welfare programs lack the funds their recipients expected in March.

I think the welfare people will pressure the DEMS to give in. As a Libertarian I am fine with this going on for a while and see where it goes.

I am happy it may teach a lesson to the House unwilling to compromise.

They should have countered at the midway point, of $2.85B, many weeks ago.

This lesson could prevent hem from no negotiating in good faith again.

Happy 33rd Shutdown Day.

PS: Also happy Americans are seeing firsthand how much govt is oversized. We will, I hope, downsize it to the proper size having seen how little some portions are missed.

I doubt any future House leaders will act as recklessly as Pelosi.

Strange the way Trump supporters are all about Trump "showing who's boss," "not backing down," etc., but Pelosi is "reckless" when she makes a stand.

Wonder what that's about.

By "negotiating" do you mean going along with borrowing billions of dollars to spend on Trump's mystery wall?

That seems like a poor deal for American taxpayers.

This is what we call a SMOKESCREEN.

Borrowing 5 billion dollars? Chump change.

I'm more worried about the 20 TRILLION dollars of debt run up by both the democrats and the republicans.
