How amusing. Because POTUS won't compromise, the shutdown will lead to illegals being hired since employers can't verify employment eligibility. Thanks President Trump!

Isn't that special! More immigrants will be motivated to come into our country for jobs during this shutdown.

Texas and Florida don't use it anyway. They could care less...even tho they have some of the largest populations of undoc workers.

Who needs e-verify? If Republican states won't implement it we might as well do away with it and save money. I know conservatives love to save money.

several university studies have shown that 1/2 the construction workers in Texas are undocumented.

That's the way Texas homebuilders want it. No need for e verify. That's why contractors are not licensed. They are all contract labor.

It's pretty Amazing that you will find Texas (or texas-type) conservatives here and elsewhere jumping up and down about "The Wall".

A cursory look at the economics of Texas and Florida will show the real story - as you say, they are the perps....not the salvation!

We are living in backwards opposite world.

Ever notice how John Cornyn does not speak about E verify or the wall? I think the Rs just keep their heads down, wishing it would just go away.

So we're back to the "It's the Democrats fault" excuse again? Time to get some new material, Kitty. All your explanations are falling flat.
