Yep. No one is risking a dangerous border crossing if there are no opportunities in the other side.

Nothing became of the noise.

Ten years later, Trump campaigned on building a wall and Mexico would pay for it as well as deporting all illegals. Given Trump’s stance on illegal immigration, one would think it would be reasonable for Trump Org to make absolutely certain it was clean, if for no other reason than optics.

Was Trump personally aware his CC employed illegal people? I doubt it. Likely all low level staff were trained in their native language to avoid eye contact and communication with the Trump family. Nonetheless, it’s a Trump property and host to frequent visits by Trump, in season.

Trump has been very clear to communicate illegals are criminals, killers, rapists and more. Yet, staff reportedly intentionally omitted the names of undocumented workers from the FBI/ SS vetting process.

Wonder how much top- down pressure was put on front line management to tow the line on costs at this and other Trump properties. Trump Org has made use of H2B visas to legally hire foreign landscapers, housekeepers and kitchen help and has done so despite county protests of long lists of qualified US citizens. Perhaps it would have been necessary to pay more than $10/ hr or run some vans to central pick-up/ drop off locations, off property, the way other resorts do.

Neither Trump or Pelosi seem too keen on a Federal Law to mandate e- Verify. They have plenty of company at the federal and state level. Only a handful of states have made E-Verify of all employees state law. All contain intended loopholes, especially for independent contractors. What’s up with this in Texas and Florida?
If Trump put top down pressure to hire workers at ‘The cheapest cost possible’ , then oh yeah you betcha he can be implicated, or at the very least complicit.

Everyone knows Trump tries to control everything himself, so I seriously doubt he was ‘unaware’.

So now you all of a sudden care about what agency is investigating these incidents?

It's all about "Orange man bad" not about protecting all American citizens from this illegal invasion.
Horse pucky!

Republican Congressmen, Senators and Governors from the border states for decades gave lip service to illegal entry by Mexicans. They profited from them.

Your defaulting to petty, partisan name calling simply shows how ill-informed and stupid some Americans CHOOSE to be.

Well, he is "unaware" in the same way he is unaware how to govern a country or how to make a decent ROI...or how to stay true to a wife or how to follow the law in basic finances, etc.....

But, yeah, it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE that he doesn't know that he has employed thousands of illegals over the years and continues to do so. I'm sure he hides a lot of it behind 3rd parties since that is the way it is typically done...

Identifying/prosecuting businesses that knowingly hire illegals would help protect us all. I guess you'd prefer we don't do that if the business is owned by "our President"?

The only way to slow illegal immigration is to prevent anyone who enters the country illegally from working. And the best way to do that is to go after the people who employ them.

you have to go after sanctuary cities and do not give them any public services and that includes education and medical services.

And just WHAT did the Resmuglicans do while controlling both parts of Congress and the White House? Besides hire and profit from cheap illegal labor?

Uh, if they don't have a job they don't pay rent and they don't live anywhere.

Start at the root. Trump himself is setting the example...and so are the Red States of Texas and Florida.

We "liberals" will start believing you are serious when those three entities do the basics. Until then it's all BS. All of it. If Trump didn't hire those thousands they wouldn't need medical care.
