In absence of a plan, there is no certainty who will support it.

He could have signed the CR his Admin originally agreed to, avoided the shutdown and been in the same spot, today.
Well, the trap is set now. So we wait until the end of this week and see what happens. If Pelosi won't give in even the slightest bit, they own this whole thing whether they believe that or not.

Then we see what Pres. Trump does next...

That’s adorable you think people will believe that.

Me too.

Neither Republican or Democrat Congress Critters would support it. Does not matter who sits the oval or holds the majority.

That only a handful of states have mandated eVerify is meaningful. Of those that have, all contain intentional loopholes. Why is this?

a 230 mile wall is not going to secure anything. So your argument is mandatory e-verify in 50 years or something? It's not important to do anything about the 20-30 million already here?

What good reason is there to not offer this now?

Lack of jobs would decrease the attraction to come here illegally.

Trump did nothing but restate what he already has said so nothing changes.

I'm sure we really do not have to discuss why that is. There are many things understood that people will not state.

Having lived in Tucson of 7 years and having been down along the border many times doing my part helping smuggle drugs, guns, and people, including terrorists, across that imaginary line , I would guess 80-85% of the California, Arizona and New Mexico's border with Mexico already has some sort of fence or wall or vehicle barrier, I'm assuming this new 230 miles must be in Texas?

As I said, he did the one thing he could have done where he can not win.
