And that's where we are now.

Petulant baby.

Just like you don't put a witness on the stand unless you know what he will say, otherwise you're a bad attorney. It may be a demonstration of "throwing out the old norms", but it's still going to be hard on your client.

He’s a Jew. You anti-Semite lol

Who said no? Was there even an attempt at compromise? Why should there have been any mention of a wall in there when the vast majority don't want it?

No, he threw his temper tantrum and we are now here.

Lol at you calling my post whining...lol, what?

So...despite what the facts say you deny that the dems lied to Reagan?

The dems have proven themselves to be untrustworthy

It would be better to deport them all as they have no business being here. A 3 year reprieve is a very generous offer. We don't owe them "something permanent".

The economy is not very stable as is and this is just the thing it doesn't need.

Pelosi operates in a fact-based universe. She knows that the Republican donor class are screaming at their respective Senators right now.
Bingo.

Pelosi knows Democrats have to stay focused and ride this out.

Most people aren't stupid. They know who started this shakedown. They know who could end it.

Losing .1% GDP growth a week. Last quarter in was 2.8%

Republicans are shooting themselves in the foot. One of these days, they will realize this, get off their rumpled rumps, and will end this shakedown.

If this is winning to you, I'd hate to see you lose.
Then before Trump even says a word... NO! That is bad optics.
Trump may have shut it down so the can quits getting kicked down the road, but Pelosi and Schumer own keeping it shut down as the can rolls downhill.
The wall is actually kicking the can down the road, as it will be tied up in court for years, and will take years to build after that.

Solving the problem now would be easy and relatively cheap--implement E-verify and put some teeth into it. Then enforce it diligently and make an example of some high profile employers going to jail for breaking the law.

In other words, address the root cause. The wall will only treat the symptoms, which is exactly what kicking the can down the road in this context is.

The wall is "unpopular"? And you know this, how? Did you call everybody in the country? If so, then you missed calling a lot of us.

BTW, have you become a US citizen? If so, congratulations! If not, then remember this --- you can say he's not your president. You also have the choice of leaving the country
