We need enhanced border security, which a wall isn't. Why don't we use available 21st century technology, instead of 4th century technology? I'm pretty sure $7,000,000,000 is not going to be enough to fully fund a wall. And what kind of wall are we talking about? Where will the money be coming from?
I hope he does. Then the government will get reopened, the courts can stop him from this ridiculous attempt, and we can get back to the bizarre form of normal we've had for the past two years.

The courts are just starting to hear eminent domain cases from the first phases of original wall construction during Bush II a decade ago.This is nothing but smoke and mirrors to satisfy the base and have a "bigly win" after getting his nose bloodied in his first go 'round with Crypt Keeper Pelosi.
More importantly it does absolutely f all for the government shutdown and the $6B moving to the dog and pony show on the border is better spent on our own people.

It should be obvious after the two defeated proposals in the Senate today that Congress has reached an impasse. We have seen the caravans coming up from Central America and the Democrats and the media all but rooting them on to come on in.
This must stop. Ideally, Congress would stop the obstruction and allow the border wall construction to begin. When Obama was president, the Republicans gave him his funding for Obamacare and his other pet issues when the Republicans had the votes to block it. Now the Democrats are not willing to compromise in the same way.
To use Obama's words, "We cannot wait". OK then. Obama set the precedent. Between the emergency at the Southern border and this partial government shutdown that does not have an end in sight, it is necessary for someone to end this. Now is the time.

Oh please. Most illegal mexican immigrants come here via plane or with a work visa, and stay after it expires. Less than 10% actually use the border.
It's not just Mexicans coming here illegally via our southern border and no most illegals don't come with visas or by planes because they wouldn't be illegals then, duh! There are still thousands entering our border illegally every month. Both the visas over stayers and the border jumpers are a problem but why would you ignore one problem for the other? You guys always deflect to the visa over stayers when we are discussing border jumpers and the wall, not them.
