It's been years since I've been heavily involved in party politics, and from the outside:

1. I'm just repulsed by Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Trump, Kellyanne Conway, etc. They all just seem like nasty, dishonest and self-serving people.

Please tell me that there are staunch Republicans who are also turned off by these people.

2. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may be photogenic, but her only policy proposal seems to be "gimme free stuff", without thought for the consequences. Plenty of other Democratic leaders seem to care only about fighting based on ethnicity and grabbing free stuff.

Please tell me that there are staunch Democrats who are also turned off by these people.

If there are none, we're doomed.

There are people of every demographic that believe this, just might not be beneficial for them to say it in public.

I'm a registered Republican and have been my whole life. I am not a fan of Trump as a person. I do think he has done some good things, but he's also done some not so good things. I voted for him in 2016, I'm undecided on whether I will vote for him again in 2020. I've got almost 2 years to make up my mind.

in 1987 the FCC reversed its policy of equal time for the airwaves allowing rightwing talk radio to take off

you can see it in today's headlines rush, Ann Coulter...Sean Hannity..seems politicians live in fear of going against the very vocal minority

AOC has a degree in economics. She's far more knowledgeable in how the modern economy works than the idiot conservatives in Congress who still cling to the stupid idea that trickle down works, that tax cuts pay for themselves. How many more times do we have to do voodoo trickle down tax cuts before the Righties finally admit that all they do is balloon the deficit?

Uh, one is a POTUS the other a lowly 2 year Rep.

Which of these things is NOT like the other......

Also, if wisdom comes with age, Trump loses every such contest.

I have no issue with AOC. I don’t think she’s moron even if I don’t agree. I’m glad younger people who were not born into money are finally getting into politics.

Why didn't she do more with that economics degree than work as a bartender then?

Other people in Congress are often morons as well, but Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just doesn't come across as highly knowledgeable about...anything.

This is the problem facing millennials. Education, no work.

There are plenty of people from her alma mater, with the same economics degree that she has, who work on Wall Street. Boston University is considered a good school and an economics degree from it should open doors in numerous economics-oriented jobs, such as analysts in investment banks.

She is a moron. With a bachelor's degree in economics, she should have had plenty of options, unless she had really bad grades or had no motivation.

With an unemployment rate that's the lowest in a generation, someone with an economics degree from BU should have plenty of options. If she had a degree in basketweaving from No-Name University, perhaps her options would have been more limited.

I finished undergrad during a near-recession and my classmates, particularly with economics degrees, did fine; the ones with economics degrees usually went to banks and other financial firms, even in a much harder job market and from a school that nobody much has heard of.
