I mean, I sourced it. It's pretty common knowledge the leftwing playcallers signaled gays to descend upon Rowan County as well as the Colorado baker, going for the lawsuit. That's what they do.
And yet the only couples that are part of the lawsuit are from Rowan county.
Attorneys for Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin say former Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis violated the civil rights of same-sex couples when she refused to issue them marriage licenses and is now on the hook for $225,000 in legal fees.
Davis made headlines in 2015 when she refused to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples following the Supreme Court ruling that made gay marriage legal.
I'm so glad this bigot is going to suffer for her actions.
We are discussing legal civil marriage not some divine act. You don't need a state issued license for a divine act.
And Kim has had that divine act 4 times. Hardly a functional family unit.
Religious Republicans have a difficult time separating civil government from their religion in their mind. Separation of church and state is a concept that not only do they not support but they also have a hard time understanding.
Marriage is a divine act between an adult male & female.
An act which promotes the creation of a functional family unit, which is a massive benefit for civilization.
In fact civilization cannot exist without traditional marriages, and will certainly implode without it.
Homosexuality is an abnormal condition strongly linked with mental illness -- the same is true with gender identity disorder (transgenderism).
A society that refuses to treat the mentally ill, and instead convinces them to live an alternative lifestyle influenced by their mental illness, is a society that will eventually collapse under the weight of its own insanity.
So by your reasoning, post menopausal couples who aren't able to procreate, should not be allowed to marry?
And I bet you think you hold the moral high ground here.
Seeing as I've never tried to deny anyone their rights under the law, yes.
I'm glad the voters of Kentucky ousted this bigot. I doubt she'll ever hold elected office again. So that's one good thing that came out of her willful lawbreaking.
